As the summer comes to an end, we are launching our See the Unseen campaign. Most people do not ‘see’ the unseen side of Breast Cancer. Less visible is a barrier that is just as challenging as treatment, the financial burden of breast cancer. Every day, breast cancer patients have to make difficult financial choices when faced with the cost of treatment, frequently individuals will skip treatment so they can work to try to ensure they can pay their rent and put food on their table. There is a growing need to offset the impact of direct and indirect costs for patients with breast cancer.

Did you know? Women living in poverty are more likely to be diagnosed at an advanced stage and are less likely to survive the disease than more affluent women. Each year here in Atlanta, we receive over 2,000 financial assistance requests from individuals receiving treatment. Individuals living below the poverty line are unsure if they can afford the treatment they need to save their lives because they may not be able to pay their rent or get transportation to treatment.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations from supporters like you, and we need your support more than ever.

By making a gift to See the Unseen, an immediate impact will be made on the life of an individual receiving breast cancer treatment right here in Atlanta.

Donations cover the cost of necessities such as:

Transportation to and from treatment at Grady Cancer Center for Excellence
Cover the cost of rent for an individual receiving a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis
Provide hope and joy this holiday season through gifts and food for a patient’s family
